Parent expected to return for Game 2

Flyers coach Peter Laviolette raised some eyebrows when he penciled rookie defenseman Oskars Bartulis into his lineup for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Quarterfinals Wednesday night. After watching Bartulis take a four-minute high sticking penalty on David Clarkson in 11:27 of work, it appears Laviolette will replace him with third-year defenseman Ryan Parent when the series resumes Friday night. “It looks like I’m in,” Parent said after Thursday’s practice at the Prudential Center. “I just want to go in and have a good game. I know what I’ve got to do. I need to move pucks better, move my feet a little more and be physical.” Parent, 23, played in 20 of the Flyers’ final 22 games this season after having a herniated disk removed from his back in January. Bartulis had been a healthy scratch in the final five games of the regular season
