Danny’s Diary: “An amazing ride”

Today, Flyers center Danny Briere talks about how the excitement he and his sons are feeling leading into the biggest game of his life: Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals: My eye is doing fine and it won’t affect me. My vision wasn’t affected, it was just a matter of keeping ice on it so it wouldn’t swell and it’s good for tonight. The two oldest boys (Caelan and Carson) thought it was cool, the youngest (9-year-old Cameron) didn’t like it as much and my Mom didn’t like that as well. But it’s not the first time, they’re kind of used to it. I have to say these last couple weeks you spend so much energy and time and thoughts on what we’ve been working on to get to this point that it’s easy to drift off. But with all the excitement of what’s ahead of us tonight and hopefully Friday, it’s also good to have something else to do. To go play with your kids, to read a book, to stay busy so you’re not constantly thinking about hockey
