Flyers announce 2010 preseason schedule

The defending Eastern Conference Champion Philadelphia Flyers announced their schedule for the 2010 preseason today, which features three games at the Wachovia Center and one contest at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario. The eight-game preseason slate opens at home with the Flyers taking on their Atlantic Division rival New Jersey Devils on Tuesday, September 21 at the Wachovia Center at 7 p.m. For the seventh consecutive season, the Flyers will travel to London, Ontario to play at the John Labatt Centre, and for the second consecutive year, they will face off against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Thursday, September 23. The John Labatt Centre is operated and managed by Global Spectrum, the public assembly facility management subsidiary of Flyers’ parent company, Comcast-Spectacor. “For the past six seasons, the Flyers have considered the John Labatt Centre our ‘home away from home,'” said Comcast-Spectacor President and Global Spectrum Chairman Peter Luukko. “The John Labatt Centre is a terrific hockey building and all of our players enjoy visiting every preseason. A match-up with the Leafs in London is a dream match-up for hockey fans in Western Ontario. It’s going to be a terrific night of hockey and a very memorable one for the City of London.” The Flyers own an all-time record of 4-2-0 and have outscored their opponents by a 21 to 14 margin in the previous six contests
