The Flyers’ free agent frenzy has continued today with the signings of veteran right wing Jody Shelley and veteran defenseman Sean O’Donnell. Shelley, 34, agreed to a three-year deal worth $3.3 million, while O’Donnell agreed to a one-year deal worth $1 million. Shelley is a 6-foot-3, 225-pound checking-line winger who will replace Arron Asham and could make Dan Carcillo expendable. O’Donnell, 38, is a stay-at-home defenseman willing to drop the gloves and will be a solid sixth defenseman on a unit that includes former Ducks teammate Chris Pronger, Matt Carle, Kimmo Timonen, Braydon Coburn and newly acquired Andrej Meszaros.
