Flyers would win tiebreakers over Caps, Pens

Flyers’ tiebreakers If the Flyers finish in a first-place tie with the Washington Capitals by winning their final two games and the Capitals losing their final game, the Flyers will win the Eastern Conference based on either the first tiebreaker (non-shootout wins) or by the third tiebreaker (goal differential). If the Flyers finish in a tie with the Pittsburgh Penguins, the Flyers will win the tiebreaker based on non-shootout wins. Note: The Flyers can finish no lower than fourth in the conference, giving them home ice in the first round of the playoffs, which would begin no sooner than Thursday at the Wells Fargo Center.
