Draft Day Shocker: Flyers trade Richards, Carter

In a deal that will reshape the Flyers for years to come, captain Mike Richards and alternate captain Jeff Carter, have been dealt to the Los Angeles Kings and Columbus Blue Jackets, respectively. First, the Flyers sent Carter to the Blue Jackets in exchange for first- and third-round draft picks, along with 21-year-old winger Jakub Voracek. Then, they shocked the hockey world by dealing Richards to the L.A.
