Comcast SportsNet to Air Flyers Wives Carnival on Sunday, March 1

PHILADELPHIA- (February 25, 2015) – Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network are proud to be the broadcast partners of the 38th Annual Flyers Wives Carnival, coming to the Wells Fargo Center on Sunday, March 1. Comcast SportsNet will air the Carnival live from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m., with Flyers broadcasters Jim Jackson, Bill Clement and Chris Therien bringing viewers all the action. CSNPhilly.com will also live stream the Carnival broadcast from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m.

In addition to the Flyers broadcasters, Comcast SportsNet’s “Flyers Postgame Live” analyst Al Morganti, CSNPhilly.com’s Sarah Baicker, Flyers radio announcers Tim Saunders and Steve Coates, and anthemist Lauren Hart will bring to life the sights and sounds of the Carnival including interviews with players, management, alumni and fans.

This year’s carnival includes a special appearance by Hollywood actor, producer, director, avid Flyers fan and Celebrity Co-Chair of the 38th annual Carnival, David Boreanaz. He is attending on behalf of Chrome Girl nail lacquer and will be stationed at the Chrome Girl booth during the Carnival. Chrome Girl has partnered with the National Hockey League to produce nail lacquer in official team colors from across the league. Proceeds from all Chrome Girl sales at the Carnival will be donated to Flyers Charities.

Other attractions include an 18-ton Ferris wheel, the first of its kind to grace the Wells Fargo Center floor.  Fans can also enjoy a giant inflatable slide for kids, new carnival games, plus the free opportunity to snap a photo in Coach Berube’s Press Conference set-up, as seen after games on Comcast SportsNet’s “Flyers Postgame Live.”

Tickets for the Carnival, the largest fundraising event of the year for Flyers Charities, are on sale now exclusively online at PhiladelphiaFlyers.com/Carnival, by calling 1-800-298-4200, or visiting the Wells Fargo Center Box Office. Tickets are also available the day of the Carnival from the Wells Fargo Center Box Office.

Early Admission tickets are $35 in advance and will allow fans to enter the building at 1:30 p.m. General Admission opens at 3 p.m. and is $20 for adults. Tickets for children 12 and under are $15. Children under 2 are free. Event parking is free.

Proceeds from the Flyers Wives Carnival allow Flyers Charities to assist many local beneficiaries such as the Big Brothers Big Sisters Southeastern Pennsylvania, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation, Living Beyond Breast Cancer Pennsylvania, Police Athletic League, and many others across the region.

The 38th Annual Flyers Wives Carnival will replay on Monday, March 2 at 12:30 a.m. on Comcast SportsNet.  The Comcast Network will also air replays on Sunday, March 1 at 9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 4 at 11 p.m. The Carnival will also be available on Xfinity! ON DEMAND beginning Monday, March 2.
